If you are
looking for downtown convenience, look no more, this house has
it all! It is perfectly positioned at the edge of downtown
Ketchikan on Stedman Street. No need to rent a car
because everything is close walking distance. There is a grocery
store one block away, restaurants, cafés, shops, art galleries,
museum and tours are all in walking distance. If you would like
to venture out of the city, there is a bus stop just outside the
door. If you would like to go charter fishing the dock is less
than a block away.
The house has
a view of the harbor and feels like brand new. There are 2 roomy
bedrooms, both with adjustable, Tempurpedic, queen sized beds.
There is also a loft with a good quality, fold-out, futon sofa.
Both bedrooms and the loft as well as the living room have a TV.
The house has an open floor plan with hardwood floors and
vaulted ceilings. One of the nicest features of the house is the
wonderful, private deck overlooking Thomas Basin, the city’s
boat harbor. This is a rare find in downtown Ketchikan, to have
a large deck with a view. The deck is nicely furnished and is
complete with a large gas barbecue. And, yes, there is an
authentic, totem pole located just outside the front door. The
pole is a classic Haida pole called Three Watchmen, Eagle, Raven
Totem Pole. It is on the neighboring private property but
viewable from the public sidewalk.
If you would like
to stay a while, this is a perfect extended stay. The kitchen is
well equipped, there is off street parking, no stairs and there
is a washer and dryer.
