Herring Cove is one of
the most requested areas where our guests like to stay. It
is a quiet residential area at the end of the road where
wildlife viewing is at a premium. The summer time hustle and
bustle of downtown Ketchikan is only a short 8 mile drive away.
One of the most popular reasons for staying in Herring Cove
is the shoreline fishing. Other
attractions within walking distance of the cabin include; the Alaska Rainforest
Sanctuary, Canopy Adventures, the fish hatchery, nature trails,
waterfalls, and wildlife viewing. This is an excellent place to stay
for Alaskan wildlife viewing.
The cabin has
two bedrooms, one with a queen and one with two extra long
twins. The cabin was
completely renovated in 2014. It is small but very nice for
a cabin and it is as close as you can get to the best
shoreline fishing on the island. Black bears and eagles enjoy fishing
in this area as well. |
